Rubio is passionate about the American dream because he lived it himself , drawn to public service in large part because of conversations with his grandfather , who witness how communism destroyed his homeland , Married to his wife Jeanette, Rubio served as city commissioner in West Miami and as speaker of the house of Florida of Representatives , In 2010 , he wont a seat in the U.S. Senate and served as U.S. Senator until 2025 .
Before taking office as secretary of State , Rubio serve his people of Florida ensuring America remained a strong , resilient nation for generation to come , he was member of various senate committees .
Rubio did not only served his constituent , but wrote and passed one of the labor p act “The Uyghur forced Labor Prevention Act” which represented the greatest turning point in U.S.-China relations in decades . He also co-led the Hong Kong Relation ACt , and the Verdad Act. Rubio also created the paycheck Protection Program, which helped safe millions of small businesses in the U.S. when covid pandemic hit.
In November 2024 , he was nominated by President Trump to serve as America’s secretary of State . He was the first cabinet member to be confirmed in the second Trump administration , receiving a historic unanimous vote of 99-0 in the U.S. Senate .Sworn in as the 72nd Secretary of State on January 21,2025 .
